Macbook Pro M.I.A !!!

on Wednesday, 6 April 2011 at 2300 hours, I came back to my dorm after a quite hearty dinner to find the main door opened wide. Feeling something amiss, I rushed in , discovering that my friends and my laptop are missing.
My laptop is a Macbook Pro 13 - inch with ID of W8951BH866E while the other two missing laptops are of Acer Aspire and Acer Timeline X.  At 2000  hours, my friends and I have a calculus test , held at the University library. The test lasted for 1 hour , ending at 2115 hours. After that , we went for dinner nearby , heading home at around 2300 hours , in which the incident was realized.

For my case, the laptop's most probably had been long gone but I still have hopes. Anyway, for other Macbook users , bear in mind that there are applications out there that will help you to find your missing devices.  On reporting stolen / lost Macbook , visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2526

One such application is the MobileMe software from Apple. As usual , that means you have to fork out a certain payment to use the application. For more info, visit the Apple website.

Another one is called Prey. This is an open-source software. The upside is that you can install it to various OS such as Windows, Linux and Android.

Hope this post helps. Well, if anyone out there heard of my Macbook Pro , give me a hoot at this blog, yeah ?

  1. Dude, how the eff your dorm's door being opened? Is it forced?

Better have the lock changed. It could be an insider, or someone on your floor, on your block.

Hope that asshole burn in hell.

  2. Apparently, this dorm I'm staying at is quite idiotic. Why ? My room key can actually open multiple other rooms (some not all), even on different blocks. It's like we ( the students ) are actually been given a master key.
